In the latest update announced recently, Motorists can now obtain the mandatory M-Tags required to travel the M2 Motorway by submitting their national identity cards (NICs) and mobile phone numbers to the issuing booths.
Inam Ghani, the Inspector-General (IG) of the National Highway and Motorway Police (NHMP), has announced the update which eliminates the prior requirement for car registration paperwork.
The M-Tag is now required for vehicles to travel on the highway, as per the Lahore High Court. The decision was made in order to avoid huge lines of vehicles at the M2 toll plaza.
