In the Margalla Hills, a hill range on the country’s northern outskirts, the Islamabad High Court barred all types of construction activities.
During a hearing against the illegal construction of commercial buildings on hills, the court cautioned the Islamabad Wildlife Management Board and the Capital Development Authority for violating court orders, according to local media reports.
Athar Minallah, CJ IHC, questioned how the Capital Development Authority entered into agreements with private companies to allow them to pay rent to the Farms Directorate. He went on to call the practise “unconstitutional.”
