The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Tourism Authority has launched the first ever 24X7 Toll-Free Tourist Helpline 1422 to provide domestic and international tourists with travel and tourism related information.
At the moment, the helpline named ‘Tourist Facilitation Center’ is run on a test basis.
The helpline will assist visitors in locating tourist spots, weather alerts, local attractions, tourist site services, traffic information and emergency response.
It can be noted that crowds of tourists enter tourist sites in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) after the government permitted all major tourist spots to open in the month of August 2020 after the coronavirus closure.
According to figures released by the tourism department of KP, from 13 August to 31 October, as many as 26,81000 tourists visited KP. There are currently over 7,62000 tourists living in different districts of the province.
As more than 17,18000 tourists visited the region back in August, Abbottabad received the largest number of visitors. In order to refresh themselves, more than 6,64000 visitors reached Swat
