Pakistan’s automotive sector has taken another step toward international expansion as Suzuki begins exporting the locally manufactured Suzuki Alto to Brunei Darussalam.

Pak Suzuki has also started regular exports of the Suzuki Every, increasing the number of Pakistan-made vehicles being supplied to overseas markets. The export programme was officially inaugurated at the Pakistan Auto Show 2026 in Lahore.

Haroon Akhtar Khan, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Industries and Production, attended the inauguration ceremony, marking the launch of the export initiative.

More than 65% of the components used in the Suzuki Alto are manufactured locally, highlighting the role of domestic suppliers in vehicle production. The level of local content reflects the development of Pakistan’s automotive manufacturing and parts industry.

The export of the Alto to Brunei and the continued overseas supply of the Suzuki Every represent efforts to expand the presence of locally produced vehicles in international markets.

The initiative also provides an opportunity for Pakistan’s automotive industry to strengthen its export activities and connect with customers beyond the domestic market.

With locally manufactured vehicles entering additional international destinations, the development highlights ongoing efforts to increase production capabilities and improve the role of Pakistan’s auto sector in global trade.
