Despite his country’s economic difficulties, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan is confident that his country is in a better financial position than India.
Khan claimed Pakistan is in a stronger economic position than many other countries in the region, particularly India, during the opening session of the International Chambers Summit 2022 in Islamabad.
“In comparison to many other countries, Pakistan remains one of the cheapest. They (the opposition) accuse us of being inept, but the truth is that our government has saved the country from numerous catastrophes “According to the Times of India, Khan remarked this at the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) Summit.
According to the report, Khan also stated that Pakistani oil prices are lower than those in other countries, among other things. Imran Khan’s comments come as the government prepares to introduce a finance law in Parliament in response to the International Monetary Fund’s demands (IMF). If passed, the bill will smooth the way for a USD 1 billion tranche of funding to Pakistan.
