Every other day, MG Pakistan brings interesting news. This time, the announcement of new MG dealerships in Sialkot and Peshawar is coming soon. The company, MG Motors Pakistan has recently posted on its official Facebook page.
In November 2020, MG Motors, a British and Chinese-owned auto manufacturing brand, entered the Pakistani market. The business has since become the talk of the town.
The company first reported that its first car in Pakistan, MG HS had earned 10,000 bookings. Then earlier this month, we were surprised by Javed Afridi, MG Pakistan’s main stakeholder, with the news of MG selling 1,000 MG HS SUVs in Faisalabad. A few days later in Islamabad, MG Pakistan claimed to be selling 1,000 vehicles.
Now that MG will soon have active dealerships in two more cities, we expect that MG will soon sell 1,000 cars in Sialkot and Peshawar.
In Pakistan, MG HS and MG ZS are already available. MG ZS EV, an electrical version of the ZS SUV, will soon be introduced by the company. MG Gloster spotted in Islamabad has also been registered. It’s quite clear that MG is here to make a name for itself in Pakistan’s local auto market, and will continue to introduce new additions to Pakistan’s auto lineup.
The company has only sold imported CBU units of its SUVs up to now. Under the Auto Development strategy (2016-2021), MG Motors has recently gained Greenfield status, so hopefully it will begin local assembly of its cars by the end of 2021.
