Saudi Arabia Restricts Umrah for foreign travellers.

In response to mounting COVID-19 cases, Saudi Arabia has limited international pilgrims’ ability to repeat Umrah, allowing them to do so only three times during a 30-day visit.

According to local media sources citing the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, a recent policy limiting Umrah or minor pilgrimage repeat to a 10-day interval also applies to overseas Muslims.

“Pilgrims arriving from overseas are allowed to stay in the nation for 30 days and must meet specific standards,” the ministry stated, adding that the pilgrims must be 12 or older and provide proof of immunisation on the health app Tawakkalna.

According to the 10-day period for repeating Umrah, abroad Muslims could do the procedures three times.
