The National Command and Operation Centre recently outlawed indoor gatherings, marriages, and eating in districts and cities with a Covid-19 positive rate of more than 10% as part of new measures to combat the pandemic’s fifth wave, which is being driven by the Omicron strain.
According to a press release released by the forum, the decision was among many non-pharmaceutical interventions (NPIs) decided that will remain in force from January 20 to 31, with a review scheduled for January 27 to assess the situation at that time. The restriction on indoor dining, on the other hand, will take effect on January 24.
The choices were made following a thorough examination of the country’s current coronavirus status, as well as the relevant NPIs, by the NCOC.
