Sidra Ameen, Pakistan’s right-handed batter, has made Women’s World Cup history after beating a century against Bangladesh at Seddon Park in Hamilton today.
Sidra Ameen, who is only 29-year-old became the first Pakistani batter to score a century in the history of the competition. With the help of eight fours, she scored 104 off 140 balls.
She also broke the previous record held by her opening partner Nahida Khan, who scored 79 runs against South Africa in the 2017 edition.
Sidra’s brilliant century was in vain as Bangladesh managed to limit Pakistan to 225/9 while she was defending 234,
She also opened the innings for Pakistan and was tied with Nahida Khan (43) and skipper Bismah Maroof (31). ) involved in two major partnerships.
