WhatsApp has finally introduced the disappearing messages feature in the testing process for a while, and now the feature will roll out to most of the users by this month of November.
It is a unique feature that will allow WhatsApp users to enable disappearing messages on the chat conversations between any of your family members or friends with you. The messages will automatically get deleted after the seven days, whereas the feature can also be enabled for the individual chat or for groups.
The spokesperson of WhatsApp said that we are starting the feature with the seven days period as it will offer the peace of mind to the user that their conversations are not permanent while it will remain their practices so you don’t forget that what were you chatting about previously.
This feature will not only delete the chat text messages; however, the photos and videos will also wipe out. The messages will be disappeared for both parties (sender and receiver). You can take the screenshot of the chats or simply copy the messages before they will get automatically deleted from your chat history of WhatsApp.
The new feature will be available for all users as a new option in each of the contact setting opting in the WhatsApp app. You directly cannot enable it for all the chats; however, it needs to be activated for every individual chat manually, and this setting will not clear the older messages of your phone.
