The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has recently advised students to confirm and verify before seeking admission that whether the degree programmes of their interest are recognized or accredited by their concerned professional councils.
HEC said in a statement that it is highlighted with concern that the degree programmes belonging to few universities are also being initiated and continued by not obtaining any accreditation from their concerned Professional Councils.
However, HEC also added that the non-recognition of degrees of all those graduates by the councils will create a negative impact on the future of these students.
As per the public interest the commencement of these new professional programmes should only be undertaken right after the complete observance of overall requirements that are prescribed by the Councils.
