Sindh Government to Increase 25% Salaries of Government Employees

A deal has been surpassed between the Punjab Police and the University of Health Sciences (UHS) to improve cooperation.

Under the MoU, the two institutions will improve human resource development and cooperation in education and research.

Dr Javed Akram stated that UHS would facilitate the provision of medical facilities for law enforcement personnel in UHS-affiliated hospitals.

DIG Welfare Abdul Ghaffar Qaisrani said that under the MoU, UHS would assist the police in matters related to forensic science.

At the same time, UHS seats will be allocated to the police for admission to MPhil and PhD programs.

UHS graduates, masters and doctoral students will write research on criminology topics, and both institutions will conduct public awareness projects.

According to the MoU, training will be organized at UHS to build the capacity of investigators in the field of forensic science.

Dr Javed Akram recognized the efforts of the Punjab Police Force to maintain law and order and paid tribute to the sacrifices made by the Punjab Police Force personnel.

IG Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan, CCPO Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamiana, Additional IG Establishment BA Nasir, Additional IG Welfare Farooq Mazhar, Additional IG Operations Sahibzada Shehzad Sultan, Additional IG Training Zulfiqar Hameed and other officers were present at the signing.

At the end of the ceremony, commemorative plaques were exchanged between IG Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan and the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Health Sciences.

On that occasion, IGP Khan said that the Punjab Police are improving cooperation with educational institutions through memorandums of understanding to promote education and research.

He added that the investigative culture within the police force is fostered through partnerships with academic institutions, which not only facilitate student internships in police departments but also receive high-level investigative reports from students.
