Pakistan leg-spinner Yasir Shah took two wickets in the first innings against Sri Lanka to become Pakistan’s fifth-highest wicket-taker in Tests, overtaking the likes of Abdul Qadir.
Yasir Shah took the wicket of Kusal Mendis to equal Qadir’s tally of 236 wickets and after taking one more wicket of Angelo Mathews, he passed Abdul Qadir’s tally of wickets(236). Now Shah is standing as the 5th Highest wicket-taker for Pakistan.
He achieved the milestone in just 47 matches.
Yasir Shah, who returned to the national team after a nearly one-year absence, is now just behind Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, Imran Khan, and Danish Kaneria on the list.
