Former pacer Mohammad Amir was never available for team throughout his tenure, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief selector Mohammad Wasim.
Amir unexpectedly announced resignation from the national side and blamed the management which was featuring the bowling coach Waqar Younis and then-head coach Misbah-ul-Haq at that time.
“My work is to select from players who are available for selection. Unfortunately, Mohammad Amir never made himself available in my tenure.”, PCB chief selector.
He added further, “He has taken retirement, so I never talked about him. When he is not available, what can I say? The rest, who are available, we do talk about them and consider them. But there is no such policy,”
Left-arm fast, after announcing his retirement playing several T20 competitions all over the world.
Recently, he has played for the Jamaica Tallawahs and won the title, while last he appeared for Pakistan team was in 2020.
