According to the recent reports, on Friday, Sindh grants the status of university to the Government College of Hyderabad.
As per the notification of Government of Sindh Universities and Board Department, Syed Murad Ali Shah, the Chief Minister has granted this status of “university” to a college and he has also appointed Dr. Tayyaba Zarif for the position of Vice-Chancellor of the university for four years on the basis of regular basic terms and conditions decided.
Previously, Dr. Tayyaba had served as a Vice-Chancellor at Nawabshah University and currently she holds a position of Dean. She had completed her PhD while continuing her career.
