Shahid Afridi, chairman of the interim selection committee, has promised a competitive surface for the second and final Test between Pakistan and New Zealand.
The former captain stated he would not allow the following match to be played on dead ground while speaking with the media at National Stadium Karachi on Thursday.
“We have to remove the fear of defeat from our hearts,” he said. “It’s wasting our bowlers. They are losing their fingers on these pitches.”
