“I Am Not the Only One Who Gets Hit for Sixes, Every Bowler in the World Gets Hit; My Job Is to Take Wickets, Haris Rauf”

Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf has emphasized the importance of pace and taking wickets, saying that his primary responsibility as a bowler is to dismiss batters.

Speaking to the media during a team practice session in Lahore, he noted that pace plays a crucial role in his bowling and added that conceding sixes is a normal part of the game, as every bowler gets hit at times.

Rauf also credited domestic cricket with helping him improve his fitness, regain his rhythm, and prepare for the challenges of international cricket.

He acknowledged that his fitness levels had previously not been sufficient for the demands of Test cricket, but expressed hope that he would eventually get the opportunity to represent Pakistan in the longest format.

The fast bowler further highlighted the importance of taking wickets during the middle overs, explaining that dismissals in this phase can help teams control the opposition’s scoring rate and build pressure.

His comments reflected his focus on improving his performance, maintaining his pace, and contributing to Pakistan’s bowling attack across different formats.
