In the first five months of the current fiscal year (2022-23) compared to the previous year, Pakistan’s exports of products and services to Afghanistan increased by 2.83 percent, according to data from the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
According to SBP data, total exports to Afghanistan increased by 2.83 percent from July through November (2022–23) to $213.282 million. This compares to $207.407 million during the same period in 2021–22.
However, on an annual basis, exports to Afghanistan fell 23.46 percent, from $48.686 million in November 2022 to $37.263 million in November 2021, from $48.686 million to November 2022.
The SBP statistics showed that exports to Afghanistan decreased by 23.73 percent month over month in November 2022 compared to exports of $48.860 million in October 2022.
