Prime Minister Imran Khan inaugurated three new tunnels that run parallel to the Swat Expressway and are about 80 kilometers long.
The director general of the Frontier Works Organization (FWO) briefed the premier minister on the initiative. According to him, the 80-kilometer expressway has seven interchanges and three new tunnels measuring 1,266, 271 and 324 meters in length.
In addition, the premier was accompanied by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Mahmood Khan and Federal Minister for Communications and Postal Services Murad Saeed.
PM had earlier paid a visit to Malakand University on Friday, where he inaugurated a new Academic Block as well as an Examination Centre.
