Residents of Dubai will soon have access to a “healthy method of transit.” The Loop will be a 93-kilometer loop that will be climate-controlled, according to designs made public by the city.
Through a “healthy mode of transit” that allows for access to essential services and sites by walking for up to 20 minutes, this new track seeks to connect over three million residents.
The Loop will provide a year-round climate-controlled setting so that residents of Dubai can primarily go around on foot and by bicycle.
By 2040, Dubai’s leaders hope that more than 80% of citizens would use bicycles and foot travel as their major means of transportation for daily errands.
