Asad Shafiq, a Pakistani batter, declared his plan to register in the Department of Health, Physical Education, and Sports Sciences at the University of Karachi shortly after former cricketer Mohammad Hafeez did the same (HPESS).
Shafiq will be a BS Third Year student in the evening shift, per a statement made public by KU.
The test cricketer had meetings with KU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Khalid Mahmood Iraqi and HPESS Chairman Professor Dr. Basit Ansari on Monday at the VC Secretariat.
Shafiq explained to the vice chancellor and chairman of the meeting that he had to postpone continuing his education after graduating because of his obligations to sports.
Now, however, he said, was the best time for him to pursue higher studies, adding that he hoped other cricketers would also resume their educations in the near future.
