Govt to Impose Taxes Worth Rs170 Billion Through Mini Budget: Ishaq Dar

The ten-day talks between Pakistan and a visiting IMF mission came to a conclusion on Thursday without a staff-level agreement. Both parties decided to take action and make preparations.

Some issues still need to be negotiated between Pakistan and the IMF, according to the finance secretary. From Washington, a choice will be taken about those issues.

In accordance with their agreement with the International Monetary Fund, the government will impose taxes of Rs170 billion through a minibudget, according to Finance Minister Ishaq Dar (IMF).

Dar claimed that the final round of negotiations with the IMF held on Thursday were fruitful while speaking to the media in Islamabad on Friday.
