Meezan Bank surpasses HBL to become Pakistan’s most profitable bank. HBL is now Pakistan’s third-most profitable bank in 2022, behind Meezan Bank and MCB Bank (PAT of Rs. 34.5 billion) (PAT of Rs. 45.1 billion).
The financial report for the year that ended on December 31, 2022, was released by Habib Bank Ltd (PSX: HBL) on Friday.
The bank reported a profit of Rs34.4 billion (EPS: Rs23.23), a 3.12% YoY decrease from Rs35.5bn (EPS: Rs23.88) in CY21.
The bank also announced a dividend of Rs1.50 per share, or 15%, along with the results. This is in addition to the interim cash dividend of Rs5.25 per share (52.5%) that was already paid.
