Heavy Rain, Strong Winds & Thunderstorms Expected Across Punjab This Week

Punjab is expected to experience a fresh spell of rain, strong winds and thunderstorms from October 28, bringing colder weather to several parts of the province.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast a shift in weather as a new western weather system approaches the region. The system is expected to affect Punjab and other upper parts of the country, with temperatures likely to drop after rainfall.

Several areas may also experience hailstorms, particularly at isolated locations. The changing weather could bring relief from warmer conditions, but strong winds and heavy showers may create difficulties for commuters.

Residents are advised to take precautions during thunderstorms and avoid standing near weak structures, trees and electricity poles. Motorists should drive carefully on wet roads, especially during periods of poor visibility.

Farmers should also monitor weather updates to protect standing crops from possible damage caused by hail and strong winds.

People are encouraged to follow official PMD forecasts for city-specific updates as the weather system moves across the region.
