After defeating Islamabad United, Lahore Qalandars are in first place in the HBL PSL 8 points table.
Their joint batting effort, in which Abdullah Shafique stood out with a 24-ball 45, took them reach 200 for seven before Islamabad United stumbled to 90 all out with as much as 37 balls to spare. This was their second convincing victory in as many nights.
Lahore Qalandars’ 200 runs made them the eighth HBL PSL team to surpass the 200-run threshold. No team has scored 200 or more goals as frequently.
Islamabad United saw one of the greatest collapses in 2017 HBL PSL as they went from 54 for one to 68 for six before losing three wickets at a score of 90. They lost five wickets for just 14 runs.
