Qavi Khan, a legendary figure in Pakistan’s entertainment sector, passed away in Canada on Sunday at the age of 80 as a result of a protracted illness, his family announced on Sunday.
With a career spanning more than four decades, Qavi Khan was one of the most admired and revered actors in the nation. Khan had received the Sitara-i-Imtiaz, Nigar Awards, and Pride of Performance for his outstanding work in the field.
Khan, a Peshawar native who began acting in the 1960s, appeared in a wide range of well-known TV dramas, including “Dhoop Kinare,” “Ankahi,” “Tanhaiyan,” and “Humsafar,” among many others. He appeared in more than 200 movies and was a well-known actor in Pakistan. Khan got married in 1968, and his four kids all chose to emigrate.
In terms of his professional life, Khan was most recently seen in Mahira Khan and Fahad Mustafa, starring Fizza Ali Meerza and Nabeel Qureshi’s Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad. His most recent small-screen endeavour was Mera Shehzadi, a film by Urwa Hocane and Ali Rehman Khan. On the programme, Khan played Hocane’s grandfather. He eventually departed the project though because of his deteriorating health.
Khan received various awards and honours for his essential contributions to the field, including the presidential award, the Pride of Performance award for his excellent performance, the Sitara-i-Imtiaz award, the LSA lifetime achievement award, and three Nigar awards.Khan bestowed his identity, location, and priceless memories upon the industry.
