Samsung Beats Apple to Become the World’s Largest Smartphone Manufacturer

According to a new report by Strategy Analytics, Samsung, a South Korean smartphone manufacturer, beat Apple to retake the top spot in global smartphone sales in February. Apple dominated the market in Q4 2020, thanks to huge iPhone 12 sales.

Samsung, on the other hand, experienced a boom in revenue in the last month, allowing it to regain its spot. According to reports, the company shipped 24 million smartphones in February 2021, accounting for 23.1 percent of the industry. Apple, on the other hand, sold 23 million units, accounting for a 22.2 percent market share.

Xiaomi, a Chinese smartphone maker, came in third place with a market share of 11.5 percent, followed by Vivo and OPPO with market shares of 10.6 percent and 8.5 percent, respectively. It’s worth noting that these smartphone brands have little or no presence in the United States.
