Javed Afridi, a well-known Pakistani businessman and the owner of Peshawar Zalmi of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), met with King Charles III and Prince William at the Commonwealth Day celebration at London’s Westminster Abbey.
Afridi thanked both dignitaries for their invitations and warm welcomes in a Facebook post on Tuesday after receiving a special invitation from King Charles to attend the ceremony at Buckingham Palace.
The proprietor of Zalmi commended Prince Williams and King Charles for their contributions to the Commonwealth of Nations. He also referred to Pakistan’s affiliation with the Commonwealth as an honour.
