According to reports in the local media on Sunday, the caretaker administration in Punjab has banned Iftar parties sponsored by the government as well as the granting of official gifts and mementos as part of a savings initiative.
They took this initiative in order to control the extra expense spent on Iftar parties.
On the other hand, this ban will not apply to foreign delegates.
