According to the most recent data provided by the Pakistan Department of Statistics on March 1, inflation this month spiked to 31.5 percent, its highest level since 1974.
Activists have urged the public in the country to take part in their large-scale campaign against the high costs of fruits through their social media campaign. When government officials failed to monitor any market to stop profiteers and hoarders, the inflation of fruits was “man-made.”
