11-Years Old Indian Girl Develops App to Detect Eye Diseases

Leena Rafeeq, an 11-year-old Keralan girl, developed an artificial intelligence (AI)-based software that uses an innovative iPhone scanning technique to find eye disorders and other ailments.

The programme was created by Ms Rafeeq when she was ten and is called “Ogler EyeScan.”

She posted a video demonstration and explained how her programme functions on LinkedIn.

According to her, using “sophisticated computer vision and machine learning,” her programme can analyse many parameters, such as light and colour intensity, distance, and look-up locations, to detect the eyeballs inside the frame.

It also determines whether there are any light burst problems and whether the eyes are precisely positioned inside the scanner frame, she continued.
