Pakistan Secures Second Rank in ICC World Cup Super League Points Table

Pakistan has climbed to second position in the ICC World Cup Super League points table after defeating South Africa.

In the battle for a direct berth to the 2023 Cricket World Cup in India, the boys-in-green are behind world champions England.

Pakistan has a total of 40 points after six matches. So far in the Super League, it has won four games and lost two. England has secured four out of nine One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and has a total of 40 points.

However, in terms of NRR, they are actually ahead of Pakistan. England’s NRR is 0.468, while Pakistan’s is 0.422. After a point tie with England and Pakistan, Australia is ranked third with an NRR of 0.347.

Pakistan’s next Super League series will be against England in July, with the aim of climbing to the top of the table.
