Now 1 Million Ummrah Pilgrims Can Travel Easily on Special Harmain Train Launched by Saudi Government

According to Arab News Media 1 million Ummrah Pilgrism capacity of passengers can travel on the Haramain Train which was launched earlier.

In the distant past, Muslim pilgrims used to walk to the holy city of Mecca. However, now they can come by high-speed train. About 50 times a day this sleek, long-nosed javelin plies the hot deserts of Saudi Arabia, carrying pilgrims and other travellers at speeds of up to 300 km/h (186 mph).

Haramain means “two sanctuaries” in Arabic, named for the holy cities of Mecca and Medina that sit at opposite ends of the line. Opened in 2018, it also connects Jeddah Airport, Jeddah Al Sulaimaniyah (near the city center) and King Abdullah Economic City.

During Ramadan, the Haramain High Speed Railway Authority plans to run more than 100 trains daily between Makkah and Madinah. With five fully equipped stations, the railway has witnessed an increasing number of pilgrims and pilgrims at the Grand Mosque in Mecca, the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah, Jeddah, and the King Abdullah Economic City.
