Owner of Peshawar Zalmi Javed Afridi has announced that Sialkot and Faisalabad will join the Pakistan Super League (PSL) for the upcoming season.
In addition to announcing the names of the two new franchises, Afridi made the announcement at a press conference in Lahore.
Afridi expressed his delight at the two new teams, stating they would contribute to the PSL’s development and progress. He continued by saying that Sialkot and Faisalabad were picked due to their cricketing potential and enthusiasm for the game.
The PSL will now have eight teams, giving young cricketers more opportunities to show off their skill and cricket aficionados more opportunities to enjoy the sport with the addition of two more teams.
