Moon Sighted in Dubai and Saudi Arabia, Eid-ul-Fitr to Be Celebrated Tomorrow

Muslim communities often have to wait until the night before Eid to determine the date because lunar months are either 29 or 30 days long.

As Ramadan, a month-long fast, comes to an end, Muslims throughout the world are preparing for Eid al-Fitr 2023. Eid’s start date changes according to when the moon is visible.

The first day of Eid al-Fitr will fall on Friday, April 21, according to a declaration made official on Thursday by Saudi Arabia. With the conclusion of Ramadan’s one-month fast.

The UAE and Qatar have also declared that Friday will be the first day of Eid.
