Syed Murad Ali Shah, the Chief Minister of Sindh has recently approved Rs. 30 billion for a safe city project under which about 10,000 CCTV cameras would be installed in the city Karachi; however, it will be done in three phases and for that each phase will be completed within a timeframe of 12 months starting from the next financial year of 2021-2022.
This decision was taken on Friday while CM was presiding in a meeting while reviewing the progress of this Safe City Project.
According to the reports as per meeting, it has been highlighted that NRTC has submitted the technical as well as the financial proposals which needs to be evaluated by the evaluation committee.
Moreover, the CM approved the constitution of the nine-member technical committee that works under the CEO of the safe city project in order to evaluate the proposal of NRTC.
