The People’s Bus Service in Karachi will now have 30 more green buses thanks to a decision by the Sindh government.
Murad Ali Shah, the chief minister of Sindh, will dedicate the buses tomorrow.
The demand for the People’s Bus Service led to the purchase of the new vehicles.
The service, which debuted in June 2022, has been giving the residents of the cultural city a much-needed public transit choice.
The buses include air conditioning and a GPS tracking system in addition to closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras.
The new buses’ routes have not yet been made public. They will, however, have the same fare structure.
According to the government, the installation of the additional buses would significantly enhance Karachi’s public transit infrastructure.
A second ship carrying 30 buses is anticipated to arrive in the port city soon in addition to the 30 vehicles that will be unveiled tomorrow.
The People’s Bus Service will now include these buses as well.
