The government has issued a notification to increase the prices of medicines by 14 to 20 percent.
According to a notification issued by the Drug Regulatory Authority, the prices of life-saving drugs have been increased by 14 percent while the prices of other medicines have been increased by 20 percent.
According to the notification, the increase was approved by the Economic Advisory Committee of the Cabinet, the price increase was made for 2023-24 under the Drug Pricing Policy.
The notification states that the DRAP Policy Board will review the pricing again after three months.
