MG HS SUV Receives More Orders than Honda and Toyota

The Morris Garages has already received around 10,000 orders for the soon to launched HS Crossover (SUV). As per the report, it has received the order more than the combined orders of Toyota and Honda.

It is a China-based British automaker that opened up the bookings for their HS SUV for the past weekend, with the price of just around Rs. 5.5 Million. Moreover, the pre-booking figures are hard to believe as it seems that their performance figures, interior, tech-features, and overall design of the SUV have just gathered few admirers. This number surely is higher than Honda and Toyota’s combined sales for October 2020.

The compact crossover SUV- MG HS is more likely to go up against the other newly launched or soon to be launched SUVs like the new Hyundai Tucson, Kia Sportage, and the DFSK Glory 580 upon arrival in the Pakistani markets.

The HS international models are primed with the latest modern technology and the safety features that will be revealed when the vehicle will be launched formally and officially.

As per the latest reports, it is suggested that the vehicles that are launched in Pakistan will have a 250 Newton per Meter of torque and 1.5-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged engine for petrol that generates up to 162 horsepower. It is designed as the power will be sent to only front wheels through a 6-speed Dual Clutch of automatic transmission.

Javed Afridi, a successful entrepreneur and a business executive, says that the launch ceremony for HS SUV will take place in the coming December 2020. He is among one of the key stakeholders in a joint venture that is between Pakistan’s JW Park Motors and the other Chinese firm, SAIC, that owns MG Motors. In a significant revelation, he also told to media that company by June 2021 would start producing CKD units of this vehicle.

Javed Afridi also added that in the initial first phase, they would also launch around three SUVs, the MG-HS, the fully-electric SUV MG ZS EV, and MG-ZS 1.5 that has a 44.5 kWh lithium-ion battery which powers a single electric motor. He shared that the MG will introduce other models also by early 2021, including hatchbacks and sedans; however, the hopes are high for future success.
