Through this partnership, HSHM is bringing Hospitality and Tourism Management degree programme and international diploma program to the doorstep of students in Gilgit-Baltistan, giving young people in the region the opportunity to pursue a globally connected, internationally accepted hospitality education without having to leave their home region to access it.

Supported by Pak-EEF scholarships which is works under the ambit of Federal Ministry of Education, the initiative will also help make quality higher education more accessible to talented students from the region, particularly those who may otherwise face financial barriers in pursuing a professional degree.

The programme combines academic education with practical hospitality training, industry exposure and internship whilst brightening employment opportunities, helping students develop the professional skills required to build careers in one of the world’s most dynamic industries. Through HSHM’s global academic partnerships with CTH, UK students in GB can now access progression opportunities linked to 43 universities across 8 countries, opening pathways to further education and international opportunities beyond Pakistan. A first ever such opportunity offered in GB.

This collaboration represents an important step towards creating global opportunities within the region itself – allowing the youth of Gilgit-Baltistan to study at their doorstep, build professional skills and experience, and then take those skills to opportunities around the world, for what the region is already known for globally.
Building on this partnership, HSHM, KIU and other stakeholders are also engaged in advanced discussions around offering certified mountaineering courses, bringing specialised training opportunities linked to the region’s unique tourism potential. HSHM is particularly excited about the prospect of developing such programme, to further strengthen the connection between education, tourism, community and industry.

The Service Agreement reflects a shared commitment to expanding access to quality education, developing industry-ready talent and creating new pathways for the youth of Gilgit-Baltistan – without requiring them to leave their homes to begin their professional journey.
