The Supreme Court Review of Judgements and Orders Act of 2023 was signed into law.
The legislation was signed by President Dr. Arif Alvi, according to the details. The Attorney General delivered to the court the notification signed by the President.
According to legal experts, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Jahangir Tareen will be able to file an appeal as well.
It should be noted that the National Assembly previously approved an appeal bill on Supreme Court decisions. A revision petition may be filed within two months of the Supreme Court’s decision, according to the bill.
In addition, applications for revision of previous decisions must be filed within 30 days.
