Dubai Changes Visit Visa Rule, Here’re the Details

Dubai has implemented changes to the rules concerning visit visas, with the elimination of the grace period upon expiration of the permit. Gulf Times reports that the executive of the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Residence, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security has confirmed the removal of the grace period for visit visas issued across the United Arab Emirates.

Previously, individuals on visit visas in Dubai were granted a grace period to leave the country after their visa had expired. However, this grace period has now been abolished, and penalties will be imposed immediately upon the expiry of the visit visa.

Travel agencies have swiftly informed their clients about the new directives, emphasizing that there will no longer be a grace period in place. It is crucial for visitors to adhere to the specified duration of stay on their visit visas, which is determined by the visa type (30 days or 60 days) starting from the date of entry.

These changes aim to ensure stricter adherence to visa regulations and reinforce compliance among visitors to Dubai.
