Former Pakistani cricket captain Shahid Afridi has stated that he supports playing against India in Ahmedabad during the upcoming ICC World Cup. Afridi believes that winning in front of an enthusiastic Indian crowd would be highly gratifying.
In an interview, Afridi questioned why the Pakistan team was hesitant to play on Ahmedabad pitches and encouraged them to embrace the challenge and aim for victory. He emphasized that the team’s ultimate goal should be winning and suggested that a comprehensive victory would be the best response to any perceived difficulties.
However, the Pakistan Cricket Board has reportedly expressed concerns about playing their World Cup match against India at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
