Eid Al-Adha holidays have been extended providing a long weekend to celebrate Eid festivities. Prime Minister Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif has declared Eid vacation from 28th June till 1st July 2023.
Ruet-e-Hilal Committee led by Moulana Abdul Khabir Azad, sighted the Dhu Al-Hajj moon on 19th June 2023, announcing that Pakistan will celebrate Eid Al-Adha on 29th June 2023. The government then gave a three-day holiday notice earlier. However, declaring Arafah Day to be observed on Wednesday, 28th June as a public holiday has come as exciting news.
In addition, 1st July 2023 will also be a public holiday, specifically announced for people observing 6 days working a week. As Eid is round the corner with a total of 5 days of holiday from Wednesday to Sunday, people must start planning and preparing for Eid Al-Adha 2023.
