Marriage Halls Association has announced to keep the marriage halls all over Karachi closed after Eid-ul-Azha due to the demolition of the halls by the Karachi administration.
According to the details, while the marriage hall owners announced a protest after Eid, the Marriage Halls Association also issued a declaration to close all the marriage halls in Karachi after Eid.
Earlier, the president of Shadi Hall Association Rescue Rahat warned that if the marriage halls are not demolished, and the government does not revise the decision, then the scope of the protest will be expanded further.
The booking fee for police bands for weddings has been increased.
When describing the protest strategy, Rana Rais stated that the first stage would involve a complete city-wide boycott of weddings, which would spread to the whole of Sindh and include the closure of Sindh’s wedding venues.
The Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) and the Karachi government, according to him, are also carrying out ongoing demolitions of lawful marriage venues.
It holds the record for the largest number of couples having mass weddings.
The president of the Marriage Halls Association further said that there is great anger among the marriage hall owners against this initiative of the administration. He also demanded former President Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari take notice of the situation.
