6 Major Generals Including Asif Ghafoor Promoted to Lieutenant General Rank

6 Major Generals of the Pakistan Army were promoted to Lieutenant General, as reported by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

Major-General Akhtar Nawaz Satti, Major General Sardar Hassan Azhar Hayat, Major-General Asif Ghafoor, Major-General Salman Fayyaz Ghani, Major-General Sarfraz Ali and Major-General Muhammad Ali are among the promoted officers.

Major General Akhtar Nawaz Satti is a member of the Frontier Force Regiment, Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military). He is currently working at the GS Office as the Vice Chief of General Staff, GHQ Rawalpindi.

Major General Sardar Hassan Azhar Hayat is also a member of the Frontier Force Regiment, Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military). He is currently stationed in Islamabad at ISI Headquarters.

Major General Asif Ghafoor is a member of the Artillery Regiment, Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military). He is currently serving in the Infantry Division of General Officer Command (GCO) 40 in Okara.

Major General Salman Fayyaz Ghani is part of the Frontier Force Regiment, Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military). He is the current Commander of the Infantry and Tactics Academy, Quetta.

Major General Sarfraz Ali is a member of the Azad Kashmir Regiment, Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military) and Tamgha-e-Tamgha-e-Basalat (Military). He’s the IG Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan (South) incumbent.

The Artillery Regiment is owned by Major General Muhammad Ali Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military). He is currently serving as Commander of Kakul, Abbottabad, Pakistan Military Academy (PMA).

Update:

Lt. Gen Asif Ghafoor was posted as Inspector General (IG) Communication & Information Technology, according to DG ISPR, while Lt. Gen Sardar Hassan Azhar Hayat was posted as Secretary of the Military.

As Commander Southern Command, Lt. Gen Sarfraz Ali has been posted and Lt. Gen Muhammad Ali has been posted as Commander ASFC.
