Twitter Starts Paying Creators, Amid Competition with Threads

Elon Musk, who owns Twitter, has said that the first payments for the platform’s ad revenue sharing program will include all the earnings since it started in February. To be eligible for ad revenue sharing, users need to have a Twitter Blue subscription, a Stripe account for payment, and have generated more than 5 million tweet views every month for the past three months.

Last month, Musk shared that the initial payments for creators would total $5 million. Recently, one of the most popular meme pages on Twitter, called Internet Hall of Fame, revealed that they received an impressive payout of $107,274.

Twitter has sent emails to selected users, letting them know that eligible creators will receive their share of ad revenue in the next three days.
