The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has set September 30 as the deadline for submitting income tax returns. Instead of relying on lawyers, people who want to file their returns themselves need to gather certain details and documents before sitting at their computers.
For salaried individuals, the necessary details include a salary certificate, information about profits from different sources like bank accounts and dividends, and an estimate of expenses.
Once they have these details, salaried individuals can easily submit their tax returns within minutes by visiting the FBR website or using the Tax Asan App.
They need to go to the FBR website, click on the Income Tax tab, access the IRIS link, and log in. There are different categories available for submitting tax returns, making the process simple.
After completing the online process, taxpayers can get an online challan on the web portal and then visit a nearby bank to deposit the tax amount due.
