He achieved this incredible feat after getting 500 million followers in November 2022. Ronaldo is well-known around the world as an outstanding player and he plays as a forward for Al Nassr and leads Portugal’s national team. He is very active on Instagram and gained over 150 million new followers since May, which is a big 34% increase.
In a special note, he became the highest-paid athlete according to Forbes in 2023 and got a Guinness World Records title for earning the most money among athletes in the year. Another famous footballer, Lionel Messi from Argentina, comes second with 482 million followers, while singer and actor Selena Gomez is third with 427 million followers.
Other popular figures like Kylie Jenner and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson are also in the top 10 list of most-followed people on Instagram.
