Treating sweets on any happy occasion is an important part of our traditions, that is the reason why sweets are made and eaten in our homes whether it is Eid or the joy of independence.
Like every year, why not try some sweet recipes colored in the colors of the flag on the occasion of Pakistan’s Independence Day.
Gourd pudding
Ingredients: Gourd half a kilo, milk one cup, ghee one quarter cup, sugar to taste, cardamom powder half teaspoon, khoya one cup, ghee 2 to 3 tablespoons, cashew nuts 8 to 10, pistachios 8 to 10, 8 to 10 almonds, 8 to 10 raisins.
Recipe: Put ghee, almonds, cashews, pistachios and raisins in a frying pan and fry till light golden color. Wash and peel the gourd and remove the seeds by cutting it in the middle, then grind it with the help of a grinder.
Now put the gourd in a pan and cook it for two minutes, then add milk and mix it well and first cover it and cook it for 6 to 8 minutes on low flame, then on high flame until the milk dries up, but during this time spoon Keep running.
Now add ghee and mix well, add sugar and cook on medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes while stirring the spoon.
Now add the fried fruits and mix and cook till the ghee separates.
When ghee separates, add khoya and cardamom powder and mix well, hot gourd halwa is ready.
Cupcakes
Ingredients: flour one cup, sugar half cup, eggs two, cocoa powder half cup, vanilla essence one teaspoon, oil or butter 100 grams, baking powder one teaspoon, milk chocolate one big pack, tetra pack cream one pack, Powdered sugar five tablespoons, green color a pinch, fondant moon, star three to four, paper cups three to four.
Recipe: Beat the sugar, eggs and butter until smooth. Now add flour, vanilla essence and cocoa powder and mix with a light hand. If you feel that the mixture is a bit stiff, add a little milk.
Now put paper cups in the tray and apply oil with the help of an oil brush and then add the cake mixture and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 15 minutes.
Now let the cupcakes cool completely, then take out the cream in a bowl and whip it until it is double in size.
Now divide it into two parts and add two drops of green color to one part and mix with a light hand.
Pour the green mixture and white cream together into a piping bag and pipe onto the cupcakes and top with a fondant moon, star.
Sweet rice
Ingredients: Sila rice, two bowls, oil as required, two to three cloves, ten to fifteen small cardamoms, one cup of sugar, one cup of raisins, one cup of almonds, a few drops of curry powder, one hundred and fifty grams of khoya, one tablespoon of green color. spoon, chum chum (small) as required.
Recipe: Make a green syrup by mixing three cups of water with three cups of sugar. Before you cook rice, you should wash it and let it soak for at least 15 minutes. Now is the time to strain them and store the liquids separately. When there is barely a cup of liquid left, add the ghee, kewra, and khoya and continue cooking on low heat. Remember to use a low flame when cooking.
After seven to eight minutes, remove from the pan and serve on green rice garnished with cham cham.
